NAFO Annual Fisheries Statistics Databases

21A database: contains information on annual catches by species, subareas, country, and year. This database can be accessed in 3 ways:

• for a quick and easy examination of catch trends of the most common fishery species, the data can be viewed with an interactive Excel application (Pivot table and chart) facilitated by the Secretariat
• the full database can be downloaded as a comma-delimited text file to be inserted in your own applications (e.g. Excel, Access)
• the full database can be viewed with the FAO FishStatPlus application

21B database: contains monthly catch and effort information by year, country, gear, tonnage, main species, Divison, and year. As it is very large, the Secretariat makes it available on the web as a number of comma-delimited text files containing one decade each.

* Users of 21 data should note that discrepencies between 21A and 21B may occur in total catch of species for the years 1994-onward. Total catch of USA by species is included in the 21A but not in the 21B data.

This tool provides users access to STATLANT21 data in a user friendly way. Users can choose a "basic query" or an "advanced query". The advanced query allows individual selections of country, division, species  and year.  The tool allows for the output of data in comma-separated values and pdf formats.
