CFRM - Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified nationals of the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism / Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States and Associate Members to fill the position of PROGRAMME MANAGER – RESEARCH AND RESOURCE ASSESSMENT in the CARIBBEAN REGIONAL FISHERIES MECHANISM (CRFM) SECRETARIAT.

The individual will gain experience and knowledge in operations of NAFO as an intergovernmental organization while the NAFO Secretariat will benefit through the presence of an additional professional and his/her capacity and knowledge.

In 2009 NAFO established a General Council Performance Assessment Working Group (PAWG) to address the establishment of a performance review to identify the strengths and weaknesses in NAFO, as urged by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 63/112 on Sustainable Fisheries for Regional Fishery Management Organizations (RFMOs). In 2010 the working group met and the terms of the Performance Review were developed. General Council approved terms of reference (ToR) at the September Annual Meeting.
