Monthly Provisional Nominal Catches

They are used to monitor the quotas and TACs of Contracting Parties. They contain the year to date catches of regulated and un-regulated species.

This circulation of catches is made available to Contracting Parties on a monthly basis. (Limited circulation)

At-Sea Inspection Reports

The inspection report is transmitted to the Executive Secretary and shall be treated as confidential.  The report provides a snapshot of catches on board at the time of inspection.

Port Inspection/PSC3 Reports

This report is transmitted to the Executive Secretary.  The report contains the quantities landed by species and catches retained onboard if any.  They also contain the logbook catches during the fishing trip.

Observer Reports

The observer onboard a vessel shall submit a report to the Executive Secretary. This report is required for every trip except for vessels participating in Chapter VII, Electronic Reporting, Satellite Tracking and Observers, of the CEM.   These reports are received in a non-standardized format.  All contain total catches by subareas. Most include daily catch reports by species and subarea, and some include haul-by-haul information.

2003-Present

VMS Data

Vessels fishing in the Regulatory Area are required to be equipped with a satellite monitoring device allowing the transmission of position reports every hour.  The vessel also transmits hail reports such as daily catch (CAT), catch on entry (COE) and catch on exit (COX) via the VMS. This information is available in summary form to the Scientific Council following specific requests from the Fisheries Commission to the SC.

Vessel Registry

This is a list of vessels notified to the Executive Secretary that are authorized to fish in the Regulatory Area. The registry contains information of specifications, size, power and capacity.
